DREAM THEATER merupakan salah satu band Progressive Metal terkenal dan terbesar di dunia, terbentuk pada tahun 1985 dan berasal dari Boston, Massachusetts, Amerika Serikat. Majesty merupakan nama dulu dari band ini, Gaya bermusik dari Dream Theater terkenal dengan kemampuan teknik instrumentalisnya yang canggih dan luar biasa, tak hanya itu, kebanyakan lagu-lagunya juga mempunyai durasi yang panjang. Mereka ini telah memenangkan banyak penghargaan, seperti "John Petrucci" dinobatkan sebagai salah satu gitaris metal terbaik di dunia dan mantan personelnya "Mike Portnoy" juga salah satu drummer terbaik kelas dunia, setelah itu Mike Portnoy digantikan oleh drummer tercepat di dunia yaitu "Mike Mangini". Yang pasti, semua personel Dream Theater mempunyai skill yang luar biasa termasuk pemain keyboardis dan basisst.
