Alesana adalah band post-hardcore ternama Amerika dari Raleigh, North Carolina. Dibentuk oleh Dennis Lee, Shawn Milke dan Patrick Thompson pada tahun 2004,  saat ini kelompok tersebut masuk ke label rekaman Revival Recordings and Artery Recordings dan telah merilis lima album studio penuh. Band ini mendapatkan popularitas yang cukup luas setelah debut mereka, pada rilisnya album On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax, mereka menampilkan gaya musikal bergeser antara suara ringan dan berat seiring dengan luas pengaruh mulai dari pop punk, metal dan bahkan band rock klasik seperti The Beatles.P enggemar mereka tumbuh dengan pesat setelah rilis album ketiga mereka The Emptiness yang dirilis di awal tahun 2010. Nama band mereka berasal dari nama jalan Aliceanna Street, dimana merupakan jalan yang pernah ditinggali Shawn Milke dan Patrick Thompson.

Pada awal tahun 2008, album On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax memuncak di daftar #44 Billboard Heatseekers. Album Alesana Where Myth Fades to Legend juga telah ditempatkan pada Billboard 200 nomor # 96 dan Billboard Hard Rock nomor #13. Setelah rilisnya The Emptiness, ia memulai debutnya di peringkat #68 Billboard 200, yang menjadikannya sebagai album laris mereka selama periode ini. Pada bulan November 2010, Alesana berangkat dari Fearless dan masuk ke label Epitaph. Pada tanggal 21 April 2015, Confessions, album kelima band ini dirilis.
